Goal Setting Is Important

Setting goals that are realistic, achievable, and that you are passionate about is a key to success. In order to know where you are heading as an organization, having a game plan can make the road a lot less bumpier. This can be as simple and fun as getting together with the executive board (E-board) over pizza and taking notes while you talk about some plans for the next year.

Regular weekly or bi-weekly meetings can go a long way in helping to goal set. During the week members of the board or committees can work on their assignments and at the meeting give updates as to their progress. This also helps in enabling an atmosphere that is conducive to providing help right when it is needed, instead of when it's to late.
